Lee 33 PV 28 -end of 3rd qt
Per WXLZ...
Burton 26 Castlewood 16 -halftime
JJK 32 Lebanon 24 -halftime
Lee 33 PV 28 -end of 3rd qt
Honaker leading VHS, 60-55 with about 3 to go in game.
Lee leading PV, 43-36, 2:15 to play
I think
Lee-49
PV-43
is the final
PV couldnt hit anything tonight, they were off something fierce.
But I honestly feel sorry for the PV kids. No team should have that bad of a luck. Ive been to 7-8 games this year, and Ive never seen a team not get the benefit of the calls like PV has. It may sound bitter, but its the truth. Its inexplicable. The kids (and the LPD kids as a whole) deserve refs that will call a walk when a player travels. PV has gotten the short end of the stick in almost every game Ive been to this year. Tonight, what to say. LHS played well, not great, Maggard was held in check most of the game but they made big shots when it counted and got to the line.
PV shot 2, two free throws in the contest at 4 minutes to go. Two free throws.
They may have shot a few more after I left , I dunno, but thats just about impossible when PV worked the ball inside almost all night long.
Oh well, good luck to LHS.

Lee High 49 Powell Valley 43 -final
Per WXLZ, Burton beats Castlewood, didn't catch the score
Honaker 72 Va High 65 -final
XLZ said Kelly won
Per CMD board, GC 72 Haysi 50
PV had only shot four at the most at the 4 minute mark of the 4th quarter, they must have shot a few after I left. But like I said, PV played inside out almost the entire game whereas Lee tried almost no post offense at all.
Its been terrible the whole season, and it didnt get better tonight. Im really trying not to sound bitter because its been like that for almost every team this year, but PV has gotten almost no breaks when it counts the entire year.

Kelly won 79-54. CJ Short lit the Pioneers up from downtown tonight. Lebanon seemed early to want to make sure the game was a physical affair, but you cannot do that with JJK. The Indians absolutely wore them down in the second half. Jeremiah Cooke may be the strongest kid in the region (is at least one of them no doubt). He outmuscled the kids from Lebanon badly. Very solid effort from JJK tonight
